Can I add music to only part of my video with Sonilo?
Short answer
Yes, Sonilo can make music for just one stretch of your video, or for up to 8 separate sections with silence left between them. Each section must be at least 5 seconds and at most 8 minutes long, and you pay only for the seconds the sections cover.
Three ways to do it
- Generate for one section. On the create form, open Advanced settings and turn on Generate for one section, then drag the handles to the part you want. The section must be at least 5 seconds for music, or 0.5 seconds for sound effects.
- Sections. In Studio, set Generate for to Sections. Each section gets its own track and gaps stay silent. You can add up to 8 sections; they cannot overlap, and each can have its own description of up to 1,000 characters.
- Part by part. To keep one continuous track but change its direction along the way, choose Control the music part by part and describe each part. A blank part follows your main description.
Long videos
One music track can be up to 8 minutes. Music for a longer video is made in sections, in Studio on a computer.
What it costs
Sections are priced by the seconds they cover, so the silent gaps cost nothing. A section that fails shows "Failed · credits returned". See how credits are counted.
Fixing one part afterwards
On Pro and Premium you can regenerate, describe again or delete one part of a finished result, from half a second up to a minute at a time, and pay only for that part.
