Can I use the free Sonilo sound effects library commercially?

With a free account

Listening to the royalty-free sound effects library needs no account. Downloading needs a free Sonilo account, which gives you:

• 10 sound effect downloads a calendar month, as MP3. The count starts over on the 1st (UTC), and a sound you downloaded before downloads again without counting.
• Use in videos and posts on your own social channels, monetized channels included.
• One condition: credit “Sound effects by Sonilo” with a link to the sound's page, in the video's description or credits. The download window gives you the line to copy.

On a paid plan

• Unlimited sound effect downloads, in MP3 and WAV.
• Commercial projects beyond your own channels, such as client projects, paid ads, and games, apps or other products you sell, where the audio is part of a larger work.
• No credit needed.

YouTube Content ID

Sonilo does not register library sound effects or music tracks with YouTube Content ID, so a library file itself should not trigger a claim. If a claim appears anyway, dispute it and link the file's page as your license.

What Pro and Premium add

• A license certificate for any sound effect or music track in the library, from its download menu
• Downloads of music library tracks, for personal and commercial use, with no credit needed
• Commercial use of the audio you generate on Sonilo, with a license certificate for each generation

What no plan allows

Selling, sharing, or giving away the library files on their own, bundling them into sound, sample, or music packs, or uploading them to other stock or library sites.

Library files and generated sound effects

Sound effects you generate yourself with text-to-sound-effects or video-to-sound-effects follow the plan rules for generated audio instead. See whether sound effects have the same license as music.

Which plans

• No account: listen to every sound effect and music track in the libraries.
• Free: 10 sound effect downloads a month as MP3, for videos and posts on your own social channels, monetized channels included, with the credit “Sound effects by Sonilo” and a link to the sound’s page.
• Creator (closed to new subscribers): unlimited sound effect downloads in MP3 and WAV, for commercial projects such as client work and paid ads too, with no credit needed.
• Pro ($14.99 per month) or Premium ($29.99 per month): the same, plus music library downloads for personal and commercial use and a license certificate for any sound effect or music track in the library.

On Pro and above you can get a license certificate for any library sound effect or music track from its download menu.
