FAQ
Before you begin
Does the voice control remove noise?+
No. It changes the level of the voice only, so noise in the voice track gets louder with it. To take hum, traffic or room noise out of a recording, use Remove Background Noise first.
Should I only boost the voice?+
This page raises the voice against background music at a fixed volume. To reduce music independently, open the related background-volume tool.
Which layer does this slider change?+
It changes the prepared voice track while the music stays at a low volume. Compare the clarity of the spoken instructions rather than just overall loudness.
Can this repair distorted speech?+
No restoration is implemented. Raising the sample voice level does not reconstruct missing or distorted detail in a recording.
